Sponsored Riders 2017

In 2016 we sponsored 2 local riders Sally and Rosie and followed their progress throughout the year. Both Sally and Rosie have proved themselves as great promoters of the clinic throughout the year and we have enjoyed following their progress.

For 2017 we have 2 new riders Molly Briddon and Rachel Beauchamp and we look forward to following their progress throughout the year.

Molly Briddon

Molly is 19 and regularly competes at British Dressage at Elementary and Medium level on her horses Ru and Arthur and last year competed successfully in both British Dressage and Pony Club Championships.

Molly says 'I am a dedicated individual who wants to get the most out of my horses.  I believe that this is achieved by working with all members of the equine team, including vets, the farrier, the dentist and the physiotherapist. I compete my horses both locally and nationally'.

Molly's aims for 2017 are:

- Qualify for the Pony Club Winter Dengie Dressage championships at Open level and get placed in the top

-Qualify BD Petplan Area Festival at medium level and get through to the second rounds

- Qualify for the Summer Pony Club Championships at Open level dressage and get placed in the top

-Get chosen for the Pony Club Talent Pathway training camp

-Compete at advanced medium level on Ru

-Qualify both horses at medium level for the summer regionals

Rachel Beauchamp

Rachel is 39 and has signed up for the Wobbleberry Challenge, raising money for Hannah Francis’s Willbery Wonder Pony.

The aim of the challenge is to compete in a BE80(T) event in 2017.  Sponsorship would be an amazing boost for our training and I would love the opportunity to give something back to Bakewell Vets after all the care they have shown me and my horses over the years.
